Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager – Transmission & Distribution to lead complex utility infrastructure projects from pursuit through closeout.

You will oversee transmission, distribution, and substation construction activities, ensuring safe, timely, and high‑quality outcomes while managing costs and client relations. The role requires 2–7+ years in construction PM for T&D projects, strong leadership, and proficiency with PM tools.

Qualifications

• 2–7+ years of construction project management experience in transmission, distribution, utility, or electrical infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing project scope, cost, schedule, and field execution.
• Strong knowledge of T&D construction methods, sequencing, and project delivery.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and PM scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects through estimating, bidding, execution, and closeout phases.
• Manage transmission, distribution, and substation construction activities.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, field leadership, and internal project teams.
• Develop and maintain strong client and utility relationships.
• Track and manage project costs, forecasts, schedules, and performance metrics.
• Support project planning for transmission line construction, distribution upgrades, and substations.
