Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. seeks a Project Manager – Transmission & Distribution to lead complex utility infrastructure projects from pursuit through closeout.

You will oversee transmission, distribution, and substation work, manage scope, cost, schedule, and safety, and ensure high-quality delivery while coordinating with subcontractors and internal teams. This role emphasizes field execution, strong leadership, and proactive client engagement to meet project objectives and ensure reliability for

Qualifications

• 2–7+ years of experience in construction project management within transmission, distribution, utility, or electrical infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing project scope, cost, schedule, and field execution.
• Strong knowledge of T&D construction methods, sequencing, and project delivery.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with project management / scheduling software (Primavera P6, HCSS, MS Project, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Lead projects through estimating, bidding, execution, and closeout phases.
• Manage transmission, distribution, and substation construction activities.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, field leadership, and internal project teams.
• Develop and maintain strong client and utility relationships.
• Track and manage project costs, forecasts, schedules, and performance metrics.
• Support project planning for transmission line construction, distribution system upgrades, and substation scopes.
• Promote Michels’ safety‑first culture across all operations.
• Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and operational feedback.
