Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. seeks a Project Manager – Transmission & Distribution to lead complex utility projects from pursuit through closeout.

You will oversee transmission, distribution, and substation construction activities, ensuring safety, on‑time delivery, budget adherence, and high quality. Ideal candidates bring 1–7+ years of PM experience in T&D, strong leadership and communication, and proficiency with scheduling software.

Qualifications

• 1–7+ years of construction project management experience.
• Proven ability to manage scope, cost, and schedule.
• Strong knowledge of T&D construction methods.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with project scheduling software (Primavera P6, HCSS, MS Project).
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects through estimating, bidding, execution, and closeout phases.
• Manage transmission, distribution, and substation construction activities.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, field leadership, and internal project teams.
• Develop and maintain strong client and utility relationships.
• Track and manage project costs, forecasts, schedules, and performance metrics.
• Support project planning for transmission line, distribution upgrades, and substations.
