Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. seeks a Project Manager – Transmission & Distribution to lead complex utility infrastructure projects from pursuit to closeout.

You will manage transmission, distribution, and substation construction with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and client satisfaction. This field‑based role requires 1–7+ years in construction PM within power delivery, travel readiness, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• 1–7+ years of experience in construction project management within transmission, distribution, utility, or electrical infrastructure projects (or equivalent education and experience).
• Proven experience managing project scope, cost, schedule, and field execution.
• Strong knowledge of T&D construction methods, sequencing, and project delivery.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management/scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects through estimating, bidding, execution, and closeout phases.
• Manage transmission, distribution, and substation construction activities.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, field leadership, and internal project teams.
• Develop and maintain strong client and utility relationships.
• Track and manage project costs, forecasts, schedules, and performance metrics.
• Support project planning for transmission line construction, distribution upgrades, and substation scopes.
• Promote Michels’ safety‑first culture across all operations.
• Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and operational feedback.
