Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager – Transmission & Distribution to lead complex utility infrastructure projects from pursuit to closeout.

You will oversee transmission line, distribution, and substation work, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and quality while managing costs and stakeholder relationships. The role requires 2–7+ years in construction PM within power delivery, strong leadership and communication skills, and willingness to travel for onsite assignments across

Qualifications

• 2+ to 7+ years of construction project management experience in transmission/distribution or electrical infrastructure.
• Proven experience overseeing project scope, cost, schedule, and field execution.
• Strong knowledge of T&D construction methods, sequencing, and project delivery.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects through estimating, bidding, execution, and closeout phases.
• Manage transmission, distribution, and substation construction activities.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, field leadership, and internal project teams.
• Develop and maintain strong client and utility relationships.
• Track and manage project costs, forecasts, schedules, and performance metrics.
• Support project planning for transmission lines, distribution upgrades, and substations as applicable.
• Promote Michels’ safety-first culture across operations.
• Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and operational feedback.
