Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager – Transmission & Distribution to lead complex utility projects in a field-based environment. You will oversee scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and client satisfaction across transmission lines, substations, and distribution upgrades.

The role demands 1–7+ years in construction PM, strong leadership, and proficiency with PM tools. Travel and on-site work are required; a safety-first culture and ongoing development are emphasized.

Qualifications

• 1–7+ years of experience in construction project management for transmission/distribution.
• Proven experience managing scope, cost, schedule, and field execution.
• Strong knowledge of T&D construction methods and project delivery.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with project management/scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects through estimating, bidding, execution, and closeout.
• Manage transmission, distribution, and substation construction activities.
• Ensure delivery safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, field leadership, and internal teams.
• Develop and maintain client and utility relationships.
• Track project costs, forecasts, schedules, and performance metrics.
• Support planning for transmission lines, distribution upgrades, and substation scopes.
• Promote Michels' safety-first culture and drive continuous improvement.
