Job summary

Regional Transportation District (RTD) in Denver seeks a Supervisor to manage daily staffing and vehicle requirements, ensuring full service coverage and on-time operations. You will build and adjust schedules, monitor the extra board, and respond to last-minute changes in collaboration with operations staff.

The role ensures safety standards, policies, and bargaining agreements are followed, and you will analyze operational data to prepare detailed reports for administrative and bargaining-unit

Qualifications

• Minimum one year in transit operations, maintenance, schedule making, or a related support function.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Colorado driver’s license required within 30 days of hire; no DUI/DWI in past 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Operators with direction, training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Monitor daily operations, identify service issues, and implement solutions.
• Oversee pullout, workforce utilization, vehicle assignments, and scheduling to ensure service coverage.
• Prepare payroll-related documentation and conduct regular audits.
• Coordinate special services, detours, and disruptions per collective bargaining agreements.
• Maintain dispatch areas and represent the department professionally.
• Perform duties across bus, commuter rail, light rail, and para-transit as needed.
