Job summary

RTD - Regional Transportation District of Denver, CO (RTD) seeks a supervisor to manage daily staffing and vehicle requirements, ensuring all scheduled service is covered and on time. You will adjust schedules, monitor overtime, and respond to last-minute changes, collaborating with operations staff and union leadership.

The role ensures safety compliance with policy and bargaining agreements, analyzes operational data, and prepares detailed reports for administrative and bargaining-unit staff,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year in transit operations, maintenance, scheduling, or related support function.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and Colorado driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• No DUI, DWI, or Reckless Driving violations in past 5 years.
• Ability to obtain Light Rail Vehicle Operator certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Operators with direction, coaching, and performance feedback while maintaining a positive work environment.
• Monitor service issues (schedules, routes, detours, reliability, safety hazards) and implement solutions.
• Oversee daily pullout, workforce utilization, and scheduling to ensure service is covered and on time.
• Prepare payroll-related documentation and conduct regular audits.
• Coordinate with labor groups and departments to support projects and programs.
