Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year in transit operations or related support function.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain Light Rail Vehicle Operator certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Operators by providing direction, training, coaching, performance feedback, and equitable treatment while maintaining a positive and respectful work environment.
• Conduct fit-for-duty observations and ensure Operator compliance with all operating rules, policies, procedures, work instructions, and federal regulations.
• Monitor daily operations, identify service-related issues and implement solutions.
• Oversee daily pullout, workforce utilization, vehicle assignments, extra board operations, and scheduling to ensure service coverage and on-time performance.
• Manage assignments, Hours of Service compliance, leave tracking, and timekeeping accuracy; prepare payroll-related documentation and audits.
• Coordinate special services, detours, emergency operations, and other disruptions; assign open work in accordance with collective bargaining agreements.
• Prepare technical reports, operational updates, and documentation; manage records, dispatch communications, and inquiries.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and support employee recognition and service-unit events.
