Job summary

RTD - Regional Transportation District of Denver, CO (RTD) seeks a seasoned supervisor to manage staffing and vehicle requirements, ensuring on-time service. You will build and adjust schedules, monitor extra board use, and respond to last-minute changes while maintaining strong partnerships with employees and union leadership.

Responsible for safety policy compliance, reporting, and collaborating with operations to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year in transit operations, maintenance, schedule making, or related support function.
• Valid driver’s license; Colorado preferred or able to obtain within 30 days.
• No DUI/DWI or Reckless Driving violations in past 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Operators with direction, training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Monitor service issues and adjust schedules to prevent missed trips.
• Oversee daily pullout, workforce utilization, and scheduling to ensure coverage.
• Manage Hours of Service, leave tracking, and payroll-related documentation.
• Coordinate special services, detours, and temporarily reassign open work.
