Job summary

Transdev is seeking an Operations Manager in Philadelphia to act as the operations liaison between the client and Transdev, coaching drivers and the operations team, and ensuring shift performance and process compliance.

You will lead dispatch management with the client’s leadership, participate in Lean/Kaizen initiatives, interpret metrics, and drive continuous improvement while coordinating with management and maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant supervisory experience required.
• Ability to read maps and digital directions.
• Proficient with computers to generate reports and schedules.
• Ability to supervise others and make quality operational decisions.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
• Travel up to 20% of the time.
• On-call and responsive as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activity of the Operations Supervisor to ensure efficient shift operations.
• Drive special projects and programs to completion as directed by the General Manager.
• Attend client meetings to represent GM or other functional managers.
• Communicate clearly with Transdev management and the client.
• Support client operations leadership in dispatch management and meetings.
• Participate in Lean/Kaizen and Operational Excellence initiatives.
• Interpret metrics and identify opportunities to drive results.
• Ensure compliance with global process standards and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee performance-based pay administration for subordinate employees with GM involvement.
• Coordinate and supervise subordinates; inform management of issues and propose resolutions.
• Ensure daily operation processes including shift start, pre-briefs, debriefs.
• Respond to service problems and assist with incident reporting and safety checks.
• Assist passengers when needed.
• Investigate unsafe locations and implement resolutions.
• Develop program work plans with client staff and determine priorities.
• Maintain routine records and perform clerical tasks related to property operation.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
