Job summary

MTM Transit is seeking a Manager, Operations to lead daily transit operations, including drivers and dispatchers, ensuring safe and compliant service delivery. The role oversees staffing, coaching, safety meetings, and client communications to support operational excellence.

You will coordinate training, monitor performance metrics, and drive process improvements while aligning with contract requirements and company standards. Local and overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of transit management experience.
• Experience supervising employees in a transportation or service delivery environment.
• Experience managing operational performance, staffing, and service delivery.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of drivers, dispatchers, and other operations personnel.
• Manage daily transit operations to ensure safe, efficient, and effective service delivery.
• Monitor staffing levels, attendance, scheduling, expenditures, and employee performance.
• Administer coaching, corrective action, performance management, and employee development initiatives.
• Conduct monthly safety meetings and reinforce company safety standards.
• Coordinate employee training, retraining, and policy updates to ensure regulatory and operational compliance.
• Perform driver evaluations in accordance with contract requirements and ADA, DOT, and FTA standards.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and collaboration.
• Support clients with operational updates, reporting, process improvements, and system enhancements.
• Analyze operational performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company policies, and applicable regulations.
• Participate in startup activities, service expansions, and business growth initiatives as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
