Job summary

Ernst & Young LLP’s Government and Infrastructure practice seeks a Transformation Execution Staff (technical writer) to help government clients strengthen program management, create polished documents, and support cross-functional teams.

You will draft, edit, format SOPs, briefing decks, and executive correspondence, ensure DHS standards, and travel as needed. A bachelor’s degree and 2 years of consulting experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in finance, accounting, engineering or related business field; plus at least two years of consulting or relevant industry experience
• At least one year of experience leading engagement teams
• Knowledge and experience in process improvement, stakeholder engagement, performance management and metrics development
• Experience with one or more PM software packages, such as Microsoft Project or Oracle Primavera
• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance or higher
• Willingness to travel—approximately 30% for federal roles and 80% for state/local/education roles

Responsibilities

• Contributing to and leading collaborative teams across dynamic client engagements
• Collecting and analyzing data to recommend organizational, process and technology improvements
• Delivering high-quality program management and documentation support to government clients
• Building trusted relationships across client, stakeholder and EY teams
• Communicating the value of EY US portfolio, program and project management methodologies
• Coaching and developing professionals while supporting broader talent initiatives
• Drafting, editing and formatting policies, directives, SOPs and implementation guidance
• Developing briefing decks, talking points and executive correspondence for leadership review
• Preparing issue papers, decision memoranda and white papers to support division objectives
• Managing complex, cross-branch reviews; reconciling feedback and incorporating comments
• Maintaining templates, version control and consistent formatting standards
• Creating process documentation and operational workflow diagrams
• Supporting audit responses, data calls and AARs
• Ensuring all deliverables comply with DHS writing and formatting standards
• Supporting communications and strategic messaging for division initiatives
