Job summary

EY US seeks a staff technical writer within Government and Infrastructure Transformation Execution to deliver polished documentation for federal and state programs.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, draft SOPs and briefing decks, and ensure compliance with DHS formatting standards and rigorous version control.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of consulting or equivalent experience, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, engineering or related business field, plus at least two years of consulting or relevant industry experience.
• At least one year of experience leading engagement teams.
• Knowledge in process improvement, stakeholder engagement support, performance management, metrics development.
• Demonstrated ability to identify team and client needs, work independently, manage shifting priorities, coach juniors, attention to detail, analytical skills.
• Experience with PM software such as Microsoft Project or Oracle Primavera; Microsoft SharePoint.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance or higher.
• Ability and willingness to travel; ~30% federal, ~80% for state/local/education.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to and leading collaborative teams across dynamic client engagements.
• Collecting and analyzing data to recommend organizational, process and technology improvements.
• Delivering high-quality program management and documentation support to government clients.
• Building trusted relationships and collaborating effectively across client, stakeholder and EY teams.
• Communicating the value of and supporting implementation of EY US portfolio, program and project management methodologies.
• Coaching and developing professionals while supporting broader talent and competency initiatives.
• Drafting, editing and formatting policies, directives, SOPs and implementation guidance.
• Developing briefing decks, talking points and executive correspondence for leadership review.
• Preparing issue papers, decision memoranda and white papers to support division objectives.
• Managing complex, cross-branch reviews; reconciling feedback; and incorporating comments.
• Maintaining templates, version control and consistent formatting standards.
• Creating process documentation and operational workflow diagrams.
• Supporting audit responses, official data calls and After Action Reports (AARs).
• Ensuring all deliverables comply with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) writing and formatting standards.
• Supporting communications and strategic messaging for Trusted Workforce 2.0 and other division initiatives.
