Job summary

Coastal Health District seeks an HR Training & Development Specialist to assess and coordinate employee training, develop onboarding, and oversee related HR processes. You will align with the HR Manager to optimize the training portfolio and ensure policy compliance.

You will support employee relations, manage leave programs, and keep up with employment laws and district policies while contributing to a positive work environment in a public health setting.

Qualifications

• Identify training needs and training gaps in the organization in close cooperation with the HR Manager and Department Supervisors.
• Develop and coordinate new employee orientation.
• Evaluates the quality of training courses and implements improvements.
• Coordinate support preparations for training presentations including registration, confirmations, reminders and certificates.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate support preparations required for the presentation of training programs including registrations, confirmations, reminders, rosters and certificates
• Oversee performance management, safety plan and ensure compliance with applicable policies
• Administer leave programs including FMLA, Military leave, Workers' Comp, ADA and other leaves
• Assist with employee relations and maintain confidentiality of personnel information
• Maintain knowledge of employment laws and district policies
