Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) is hiring DOT certified Trailer Mechanics in Laporte, TX. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components on tank trailers, with emphasis on tank service, suspension work, and air brake systems. TIG welding is beneficial for some repairs.

Shift is Monday–Friday, 1st shift, with a pay range of $20.00 to $37.00 per hour based on experience. Benefits include health coverage, PTO, and 401(k) matching, among others.

Qualifications

• Must diagnose failures and repair mechanical/electrical systems on tank trailers.
• Experience with tank service, trailer suspension, and air brake systems.
• TIG welding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

We are currently searching for DOT certified Trailer Mechanics with 3 to 5 years of tank trailer repair experience at our Laporte, TX location!

Shift Hours:Monday through Friday, 1st shift

Pay Range: $20.00 to $37.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair
• Trailer suspension installation and repair
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs
• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)

Physical Demands:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
