Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) is seeking a DOT-certified Trailer Mechanic for our Port Allen, LA location. With 2–4+ years of tank and/or trailer repair experience, you will diagnose failures, perform tank service, trailer suspension work, and skin repairs while ensuring compliance with DOT HM183 and hazmat standards.

The role offers a Mon-Fri shift 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, and a pay range of $24–$38 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Diagnose failures and repair mechanical, electrical or other systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair experience.
• Trailer suspension installation and repair experience.
• Skin repair experience on tanks/trailers.
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs.
• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional).
• Ability to inspect tanks and trailers to meet DOT standards (HM183, hazmat).

We are currently searching for DOT certified Trailer Mechanic with 2-4+ years of tank and/or trailer repair and skin repair experience for our Port Allen, LA location!

Shift Hours: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay Range: $24.00 to $38.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
(Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.)
Demonstrated Skill In Most Of The Following Areas

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair
• Trailer suspension installation and repair
• Experience doing skin repairs
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs
• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)

Physical Demands

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
