Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) is seeking DOT-certified trailer mechanics with 3–5 years of tank trailer repair experience for our Laporte, TX location. Shift: Monday–Friday, 1st shift. Pay range: $20.00 to $37.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• DOT certification and 3–5 years of tank trailer repair experience.
• Ability to diagnose failures and perform repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with tank service, suspension installation and repair.
• Familiarity with DOT HM183 and hazmat standards.
• Welding experience (TIG) is optional.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose failures and repair mechanical, electrical, and other systems on tank trailers.
• Perform tank service and repair and trailer suspension work.
• Inspect tanks and trailers to meet DOT HM183 and hazmat standards.
• Adhere to DOT safety practices and quality standards.

We are currently searching for DOT certified Trailer Mechanics with 3 to 5 years of tank trailer repair experience at our Laporte, TX location!

Shift Hours:Monday through Friday, 1st shift

Pay Range: $20.00 to $37.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair
• Trailer suspension installation and repair
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs
• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)

Physical Demands:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
