Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) seeks a DOT inspection certified Trailer Mechanic for our Beaumont, TX location. Responsibilities include diagnosing failures, repairing mechanical and electrical systems on tank trailers, and ensuring compliance with DOT HM183/hazmat standards.

Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Competitive pay from $17.00 to $37.00 per hour based on experience, with skill-based reviews every six months.

Qualifications

• Must hold DOT inspection certification.
• Tank trailer repair experience required.
• Ability to diagnose failures on mechanical/electrical systems on tank trailers.
• Familiarity with DOT HM183/hazmat standards.

• Perform tank service and repair tasks.

We are currently searching for DOT inspection certified mechanics with tank trailer repair experience!

Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

This position is for our Beaumont branch at 1675 Spindletop Dr, Beaumont, TX 77705.

Pay Range: $17.00 to $37.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair
• Trailer suspension installation and repair
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs
• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)

Physical Demands:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
