Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic II to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on trailers and associated refrigeration units.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, complete complex repairs, and operate with or without supervision while adhering to safety standards. The role requires 2 years of diesel repair experience, a High School diploma or GED, and preferred ASE PMI certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Trade school in heavy-duty diesel repairs and refrigeration is preferred.
• 2 years of diesel repair experience on tractor-trailer and refrigeration equipment; fleet maintenance experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on trailer refrigeration.
• Carry out simple and complex mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related systems.
• Read service bulletins and technical manuals; operate tools safely.
• Complete paperwork and data entry; follow safety rules and shift expectations.
