Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. seeks a skilled Mechanic II to perform preventive maintenance and complex repairs on trailers, including refrigeration systems. You will diagnose and service diesel engines, perform alignments, and work independently or with a team to keep fleets on the road.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 2 years in diesel repairs, ASE PMI (T8) certification, and a valid driver's license. Comprehensive benefits apply after 60 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Trade school in heavy duty diesel repairs, and/or refrigeration is preferred.
• 2 years diesel repairs, tractor-trailer, refrigeration maintenance experience.
• Current ASE PMI certification (T8) or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• Valid Class C license; Class A preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform the functions of a Grade 4 Mechanic.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on trailer refrigeration.
• Conduct simple and complex mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Diagnose, remove, repair, replace or rebuild powertrain components.
• Read and follow service bulletins and manuals; maintain shop tools.
