Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a skilled Mechanic II to perform repairs on trailers and refrigeration systems, diagnose diesel engines, and conduct preventive maintenance.

You will read service bulletins, use diagnostic tools, and work independently or with a team in our shop. A high school diploma, diesel repair experience, ASE PMI certification (preferred), and a valid Class C license are required; Class A preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Trade school in heavy duty diesel repairs and/or refrigeration is preferred.
• 2 years experience in diesel repairs, tractor-trailer, refrigeration maintenance and repairs.
• 1 year fleet maintenance experience or one year with McLane at upper Class C Technician level.
• Possess or acquire within 1 year a current ASE PMI certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform the functions of a Grade 4 Mechanic.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and repairs on trailer refrigeration.
• Execute simple and complex mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Diagnose, remove, repair, replace or rebuild components as needed.
• Read service bulletins and technical manuals; follow instructions and safety rules.
