Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic II to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on trailers, with focus on refrigeration power units.

You will diagnose and fix complex mechanical and electrical systems, read service bulletins, and complete paperwork. The role requires 2 years of diesel repair/trailer maintenance experience, ASE PMI and relevant certifications; Class C license, with Class A preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years diesel repairs, tractor-trailer, refrigeration maintenance/repairs experience.
• ASE PMI certification (PMI) within 1 year preferred.
• Valid Class C Driver's License; Class A preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform the functions of a Grade 4 Mechanic.
• Preventative maintenance and repairs on trailer refrigeration.
• Perform simple and complex mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Diagnose, repair, replace or rebuild components such as engines, clutches, pumps, suspensions, brakes, wheel seals, and drive lines.
• Carry out front wheel and axle alignments; troubleshoot cooling systems and read service bulletins.
