Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems, Inc. in Lexington, SC is seeking a Traffic Control Technician to set up and take down lane closures and protect workers on state highways and job sites.

You'll operate company trucks, drive MOT and TMA vehicles, install signs, cones, and safety devices, and ensure a safe, compliant work zone while following contractor directions. Travel statewide and occasional overnight stays expected.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• 1–3 years of traffic control experience and 2,000 field hours.
• Must pass background, motor vehicle records check, and drug test per DOT.
• Wear safety equipment and follow traffic plans and regulations.
• Read plans and ensure plans are implemented on site.

Responsibilities

• Set up and take down lane closures on highways and roads.
• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment.
• Drive MOT and TMA vehicles to project sites.
• Install signs, arrow boards, and traffic cones in work zones.
• Monitor the work zone and ensure proper placement of devices.
• Travel statewide with occasional overnight stays as required.
