RoadSafe Traffic Systems in Lexington, South Carolina is seeking a Traffic Control Technician II to set up and take down lane closures and safeguard work zones on state highways and roadways. You will operate company trucks, drive MOT and TMA vehicles, place signs, and maintain equipment, with travel statewide and possible night/weekend shifts.

The role requires lifting up to 70 pounds, passing background and drug tests, and complying with DOT safety rules.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience and 2,000 in-field hours in traffic control.
• Must pass background check, including motor vehicle records.
• Must pass a drug test and meet DOT requirements.
• Ability to read plans and implement traffic control plans as required.
• Willingness to travel statewide, with possible overnight stays and night/weekend work.

Responsabilités

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT vehicle to and from projects and on work sites.
• Drive TMA vehicle to and from projects and on work sites to protect workers.
• Set up traffic cones, signs, and safety devices in work areas.
• Monitor the work zone to ensure equipment and signs remain in place.
• Load and unload traffic control items at shift start and end.
