RoadSafe Traffic Systems, Inc. in Savannah, GA is seeking a Traffic Control Technician II to set up and take down lane closures and ensure safety for all workers on state highways and other roadways.

You will operate trucks, place signs, cones, and arrow boards, monitor work zones, and perform routine equipment maintenance. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of traffic control experience, can travel statewide, and is available for nights and weekends when projects require.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License required.
• 1–3 years traffic control experience and 2000 field hours.
• Must pass background and motor vehicle records checks.
• Must pass drug test and meet DOT requirements.
• Ability to read and follow road signs and paperwork.
• Must read plans and ensure traffic control plans are implemented.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks to transport materials to job sites.
• Set up traffic cones, signs, and arrow boards.
• Drive MOT (Management of Traffic) and TMA (Truck Mounted Attenuator) vehicles as needed.
• Monitor and maintain safe work zones throughout shifts.
• Perform routine shop maintenance on equipment.
• Travel statewide and be available for nights/weekends as required by projects.
