Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems seeks a Traffic Control Technician to set up and take down lane closures and safeguard crews on highways and local roads. You will operate MOT and TMA vehicles, place signs, cones, and boards, and ensure work zones follow plans and safety rules.

You will travel statewide with occasional overnight stays and flexible hours. A valid US driver’s license, background/drug checks, and ATSSA TCT intermediate training are required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of traffic control experience.
• 2,000 field hours in traffic control.
• Must pass background check and drug test with DOT compliance.
• Must read plans and implement traffic control measures.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials to job sites.
• Drive MOT and TMA vehicles to projects and work sites.
• Place temporary construction signs, cones, and boards.
• Monitor the work zone to ensure correct placement.
• Load and unload traffic control items at shifts.
• Perform basic shop maintenance on equipment.
• Follow safety rules and company policies.
• Travel statewide with occasional overnight stays.
