Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Technician to set up and take down lane closures on state highways and roadways, directing traffic and protecting workers. You may work independently or with a crew, and will also assemble, deliver, and retrieve safety products from job sites.

Requirements include 1–3 years of traffic control experience, valid driver's license, ability to lift 70 pounds, willingness to travel statewide, and successful pass of background, drug, and DOT checks.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of traffic control experience and 2,000 in-field hours
• Must pass background check, including motor vehicle records check
• Must successfully pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements
• Wear proper safety equipment and adhere to safety regulations

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites
• Drive MOT and TMA vehicles to and from projects and on work sites
• Place and manage traffic safety devices and signs in work areas
• Monitor the work zone to ensure proper placement and safety

Skills

Valid Driver's License

DOT compliance knowledge

Ability to lift 70 pounds

Willingness to travel statewide
