Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Deskside Engineer to provide technical and operational support to traders and front-office users, ensuring high availability of trading applications and market data platforms.

The role involves supporting Bloomberg Terminal, Refinitiv/Eikon, Reuters, Fidessa, and OMS/EMS, troubleshooting issues on Windows and Mac devices, and delivering onsite and remote support in a fast-paced environment. Eligible for Cognizant’s annual incentive program.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years in Trader Support/Front Office IT or Financial Services IT Support.
• Experience supporting Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Asset Management or Brokerage environments.
• Strong Windows/Mac devices support and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational support to traders and front-office users ensuring high availability of trading applications and market data platforms.
• Support trading and market data platforms such as Bloomberg Terminal, Refinitiv/Eikon, Reuters, Fidessa, and OMS/EMS applications.
• Troubleshoot issues related to trading applications, market data feeds, desktops, laptops and multi-monitor workstations.
• Provide onsite and remote support to traders in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Manage incidents and service requests through ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools ensuring SLA compliance.
• Coordinate with application, network, infrastructure and vendor teams for issue resolution.
• Perform software installations, upgrades, user access management and hardware deployments.
• Maintain documentation and ITIL-based support processes.
