Job summary

RTX, a leader in aerospace and defense, seeks a capable engineer to design hardware layouts in a secure lab environment. You will collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to produce precise design data and manage documentation releases.

The role requires 4+ years of experience, HS Diploma or higher, and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance with U.S. citizenship. Siemens NX or SolidWorks skills are preferred, with onsite work in a mission-critical setting.

Qualifications

• Must have HS Diploma or AA/AS degree and 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain DoD security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• 1+ year experience in 3D modeling using SolidWorks or Siemens

Responsibilities

• May perform tasks in a classified closed lab environment.
• Under supervision, perform moderately technical tasks to create precision mechanical/electrical design layouts.
• Prepare records for release of design data into company systems.
• May assist in mentoring new mechanical designers or engineers.
• Assist in determining specifications for materials, finishes, and processes during design.
• Prepare technical documentation for release of hardware design data.
