Job summary

RTX in McKinney, TX is seeking an established Mechanical Engineer to perform mechanical design and documentation of electro-mechanical assemblies, coordinating with multi-functional design groups, and supporting our manufacturing facility.

This onsite role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical/Aerospace engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience, plus the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or equivalent from ABET‑accredited university with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience with PTC Creo Parametric for 3D modeling and 2D/3D drawing creation.
• Ability to apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing principles.

Responsibilities

• Follow established procedures with program leadership to meet design and production goals.
• Model with PTC Creo Parametric and create 2D drawings for fabrication.
• Apply GD&T principles to design documentation and fabrication.
• Work in a multi-disciplined team on aperture hardware, housing, electronics packaging, and thermal management.
• Collaborate with IPTL, Supply Chain, and external personnel; travel up to 10%.
• Coordinate with mechanical and electronic design in cross-functional projects.
