Job summary

RTX (Raytheon) in McKinney, TX is seeking an established Mechanical Engineer to perform electro-mechanical assembly design and documentation on-site. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams and support manufacturing in McKinney, TX.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical/Aerospace or ABET-accredited equivalent, 5+ years of experience or 3+ years with an advanced degree, plus clearances. Strong CAD/GD&T skills and ability to travel up to 10% are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Equivalent Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• Experience with PTC Creo Parametric or other mechanical CAD design tools for 3D modeling and 2D/3D drawing creation.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and their application.

Responsibilities

• Follow established procedures with program and functional leadership to meet design and production goals.
• Proficient experience with PTC Creo Parametric or other Solid Modeling tools.
• Apply GD&T principles to design documentation and fabrication.
• Work within a multi-disciplined team covering mechanical design, housing design, electronics packaging, and thermal management.
• Travel related to suppliers and other Raytheon facilities typically not exceeding 10%.
