RTX in Richardson, TX is seeking an experienced design engineer to develop mechanical/electrical layouts in a classified environment. You will prepare design data for release, support documentation control, and mentor junior engineers on procedures.

Requires 4+ years of relevant experience and ability to obtain DoD security clearance. Proficiency in 3D modeling with SolidWorks or Siemens; NX preferred. Onsite role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.
• 1+ years experience in 3D modeling using SolidWorks or Siemens.

Responsibilities

• Create precision mechanical/electrical design layouts from verbal instructions, sketches, existing hardware, or models.
• Prepare records for release of design data into company systems.
• Assist in mentoring designers and ensuring documentation compliance.
• Apply standards during hardware design and documentation preparation.
• Support data and documentation during revisions of released artifacts.
