Job summary

RTX in McKinney, TX seeks an established Mechanical Engineer to design and document electro-mechanical assemblies onsite. You will coordinate with multi-functional design groups and support manufacturing in McKinney, TX.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace engineering (ABET) with 5+ years of experience, strong CAD/GD&T skills, and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance. Travel to suppliers and Raytheon facilities is limited.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Equivalent Engineering from an ABET accredited university and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with PTC CREO Parametric or other mechanical CAD design tools for 3D modeling and 2D/3D drawing creation.
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing principles.

Responsibilities

• Follow established procedures and work with leadership to meet design and production goals.
• Proficient with PTC Creo Parametric or similar CAD tools.
• Apply GD&T to design docs and fabrication drawings.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team on aperture hardware, housing, electronics packaging, and thermal management.
• Interact with IPTL, Supply Chain, and external personnel.
• Travel to suppliers/other Raytheon facilities, up to ~10%.
