Stanley Black & Decker in Decorah, IA is hiring a Toolmaker on the 2nd shift (3:00pm - 11:00pm). The role involves learning and performing header and secondary tooling tasks for fastener manufacturing, reading blueprints, setting up dies, and ensuring quality and productivity targets are met.

You will work with toolroom equipment, maintain tooling, and support header operators while following ISO/IATF16949 procedures.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong mechanical ability.
• General shop knowledge.
• Basic math skills.
• Good human relations skills.
• Knowledge in IATF16949 and ISO14001 requirements.
• Educational certification in industrial-related field is a plus.
• Header or tooling experience is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Read blueprints and use gauges and equipment to make or rework header and secondary tooling for fastener manufacturing.
• Operate toolroom equipment and set up tooling to die prints with minimal supervision.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements for heading and secondary departments.
• Read manufacturing and tooling blueprints and prepare tools to meet tolerances.
• Maintain back-up tooling to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
• Follow ISO/IATF16949 procedures and safety rules.
• Assist header operators with tooling needs to meet dimensions.
• Initiate TC/Rs and ECs to improve tooling designs and update setup sheets.
