Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator for 2nd shift (3:00pm–11:00pm) in Decorah, IA. The role includes operating machinery, reading blueprints, maintaining SPC quality, and supporting continuous improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifying candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic math and mechanical aptitude, and good teamwork and English communication skills. A sign-on bonus is offered along with standard company benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Demonstrated base mechanical skills, aptitude.
• Basic math skills, add, subtract, multiply and divide, for blueprint reading, gaging, etc.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines to meet print requirements.
• Read blueprints and select tooling with supervision.
• Maintain 40–60% production efficiency and document shift information.
• Record SPC data and ensure quality levels, prevent scrap.
• Perform minor repairs and assist maintenance as needed.
• Follow safety rules and housekeeping standards.
