Job summary

STANLEY® Engineered Fastening is seeking a Tooling Toolmaker for the Decorah, IA facility. You will join our manufacturing team and help read blueprints, set up tooling, and support header/secondary tooling to meet die tolerances for fastener production.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, strong mechanical ability, and basic math skills. ISO/IATF16949 knowledge is preferred. Overtime may be required.

• General shop knowledge.
• Basic math skills.
• Good human relations skills.
• Knowledge in IATF16949 and ISO14001 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and use gauges/equipment to make/rework header and secondary tooling.
• Set up header tooling to die prints with minimal supervision.
• Maintain tooling to meet print tolerances and production needs.
• Read manufacturing/tooling blueprints and select tools to meet tolerances.
• Provide tooling support to header operators to produce parts to spec.
• Follow ISO & IATF16949 and SPC procedures in toolroom.
• Prepare setup sheets and update documentation as needed.
