Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a subject matter expert for its timekeeping system(s). The role serves as a central contact for employees and managers, bridging time data with HR and Payroll to ensure accurate payroll processing and policy compliance.

The SME will audit timekeeping usage, support system enhancements, maintain training materials, and ensure timely access for new users and role changes, coordinating with HR, Payroll, and vendors as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Human Resources, General Business, Computer Systems, or similar.
• Experience with timekeeping systems is a plus.
• 2+ years of hands-on HR practices and policies.
• Understand the role of HR in day-to-day activities.
• Ability to train and influence system users.
• Knowledge of timekeeping and payroll processes.
• Knowledge of compliance rules for timekeeping (U.S., PR, Canada).
• Knowledge of Workday and ServiceNow.
• MS Office Suite with emphasis on Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word and Access.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive support to employees and managers navigating timekeeping systems.
• Conduct regular audits of timekeeping for policy compliance and accuracy.
• Collaborate with HR and Payroll stakeholders to stay aligned on processes.
• Update and distribute timekeeping training materials to reflect changes.
• Ensure timely access and training for new users and role changes.
• Complete proxy setups to maintain service continuity during absences.
• Provide user support for system navigation and integrations.
• Escalate complex issues to appropriate stakeholders or vendors.
• Collect information prior to escalation to facilitate resolution.
• Monitor system reports to identify data discrepancies.
• Maintain up-to-date training materials and knowledge resources.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
