Job summary

Inserso seeks a Network Support Technician (Temp) in Phoenix, AZ to provide onsite and remote Tier 2 IT support to DHS customers worldwide. The role entails LAN and network device support, server configurations, cloud services, and 24x7 coverage in a Service Desk environment.

You will work under the Area Technical Lead, performing installations, maintenance, testing, and health checks on systems, with occasional after-hours rotations and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and pass the DHS Employment Eligibility Verification process.
• Associate Degree or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years’ IT-related support experience, preferably in a helpdesk or customer support role.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve desktop, network, or other IT issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide LAN administrator support with installation, configuration and maintenance of network devices, servers, storage arrays and tape backup units.
• Support network-attached devices such as computers, printers, biometric devices, sensors, and related peripherals.
• Support mobile and wireless devices including smartphones, tablets, and hotspots.
• Assist in testing, applying, and maintaining server configurations and security patches.
• Maintain and check system health and backups, including restore testing.
• Monitor ITSM (ServiceNow) assignments and resolve tickets.
• Provide regular activity reports (daily, weekly, monthly).
• Provide inventory input to the customer’s inventory system.
• Install and maintain video teleconferencing infrastructure and user support.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotations and special projects.
• Conduct new equipment deployments and deployment support.
• Provide cabling support in data centers and wiring closets.
• Analyze business requirements and design specs for functional activities.
• Contribute to technical discussions and prepare briefing materials for customer needs.
