Job summary

Inserso is seeking Network Support Technicians to provide onsite and remote Tier 2 support for DHS customers worldwide. Responsibilities include LAN administration, device support, server configurations, backups, and ITSM ticket management.

This role requires US citizenship, 1+ year IT support experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, security-focused environment. The position reports to an Area Technical Lead and may involve after-hours support, travel less than 20%, and occasional

Qualifications

• 1+ years' IT-related support experience, preferably in a helpdesk or customer support role.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and pass the DHS Employment Eligibility Verification process.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve desktop, network, or other IT issues.
• Must have excellent team skills and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must pass Motor Vehicle Records check and may require travel up to 20%.
• Comfortable working in a Law Enforcement environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide LAN administrator support with installation, configuration and maintenance of network devices, servers, storage arrays and backup units.
• Support network attached devices including computers, printers, biosensors, and display equipment.
• Assist in server configurations, security patches, backups, and restore testing.
• Monitor ITSM (ServiceNow) assignments and document tickets with standard templates.
• Provide regular activity reports and inventory input for the customer.
• Install and maintain video teleconferencing infrastructure and user support.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation and special projects.
• Perform new equipment deployments and cabling in data centers and LAN rooms.
• Analyze business requirements and contribute to system design discussions.
