Job summary

Inserso Corporation is seeking a Network Support Technician to provide onsite and remote Tier 2 support for DHS customers. You will handle LAN/server administration, device support, and incident resolution in a 24x7 environment while coordinating with an Area Technical Lead.

The role requires Associate degree or equivalent experience and 1+ years of IT support, with a focus on teamwork, rapid troubleshooting, and strong communication. Occasional travel and on-call rotation may be required.

Qualifications

1+ years' IT-related support experience, preferably in a helpdesk or customer support role.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and pass the DHS Employment Eligibility Verification process.
Associate Degree or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve desktop, network, or other IT issues.
General knowledge of network products and systems.
Experience in a rapid paced, time sensitive environment.
Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
Ability to travel locally, including overnight travel as needed.

Responsibilities

Provide LAN administrator support with installation, configuration and maintenance of network devices and servers.
Support network attached devices including computers, printers, biometric devices, and sensors.
Support mobile and wireless devices (smartphones, tablets, hotspots).
Test, apply, and maintain server configurations and security patches.
Monitor system health and backups, including restore testing.
Manage ServiceNow tickets and document activities per guidelines.
Produce regular activity reports and maintain inventory input for the customer.
Assist in deploying new equipment and providing deployment support.
Provide cabling work in data centers and wiring closets.
Contribute to technical discussions and prepare briefing materials for customer needs.
