Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an Account Manager II, Thermal in Charleston, SC to grow a portfolio of mechanical contractors, consultants, and end users. You will develop plans, maintain relationships with executives, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver competitive thermal solutions.

Travel across the territory is required to visit sites and propose solutions. The role emphasizes quota attainment, proposal development, and mentoring teammates while leveraging Vertiv's cooling and power product

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, business, or related field preferred.
• Proven successful experience in large account sales and account management in a similar industry.
• Understanding of mechanical and thermal infrastructure within data center environments.
• Knowledge of critical support equipment operations for both thermal and power products.
• Brings customer-first mindset in external and internal collaborations.
• Demonstrated proficiency in actively managing and expanding orders pipeline, utilizing CRM tools and best practices.
• Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Team player with outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains a sales plan and pursuit strategy for each existing account and finds new opportunities and new clients.
• Develops relationships as a trusted advisor with a portfolio of clients and connects with executives and stakeholders.
• Negotiates product opportunities while coordinating cross-functional team involvement for cross-sells.
• Manages the order process to meet customer and consultant requirements and maximize profitability.
• Supports new company initiatives to help the company succeed.
• Achieves increasing monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and orders quotas while growing the pipeline.
• Trains and mentors less experienced team members.
