Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Thermal Engineering Manager to lead, support and direct a team of Thermal Engineers and third-party teams. The role focuses on Integrated Modular Solutions for data centers, central offices, switching centers and related facilities.

You will manage financial performance, engage in client management and drive business development activities, coordinating multiple engineering disciplines to deliver within budget and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; experience can substitute.
• PE license is optional but beneficial.
• 6+ years of engineering and management experience.
• Familiarity with NEC, NBC, IBC and NFPA70.

Responsibilities

• Post-sales engineering team leadership from design through delivery.
• Ensure designs meet quality and budget requirements.
• Coordinate multiple engineering disciplines and third-party teams.
• Collaborate with customer and suppliers to meet project needs.
• Interface with customer, GC and permitting processes.
• Support field operations, root-cause analysis and startup.
• Travel 15–20% for site reviews and inspections.
• Develop and improve engineering processes and plans.
