Job summary

Regal theatre is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure adherence to company policies. The role requires operating projection and audio-visual systems, managing inventory, and maintaining safety and customer service quality.

The position is hourly and involves coordinating with theater management, training staff, and ensuring smooth show operations across all departments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (if not currently a student).
• At least three months supervisory experience, or 6 months theatre experience with Cast Certification, or equivalent leadership potential.
• Must maintain any required alcohol service training where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Regular and consistent attendance.
• Upholding and administering all theatre policies.
• Supervising and coaching of non-management employees.
• Performing all staff positions as required.
• Operating projection and audio-visual equipment, including maintenance and ROM systems.
• Ensure alcohol certification and training are current where applicable.
• Manage risk, safety, loss prevention, and incident reporting.
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the shift.
• Count, deposit, and reconcile receipts from daily sales.
• Adhere to dress code and company policies.
• Complete management certification and read ROM policies.
• Interviewing, hiring, scheduling, coaching, and upholding HR policies.
• Control costs and manage stocking, inventory, and supplier orders.
• Oversee theatre maintenance and minor repairs as needed.
• Marketing and scheduling of feature films and show times.
