Job summary

Cinemark Assistant Managers assist in the overall operation of the theatre. They ensure policies and procedures are being followed and operational standards are achieved. They are cross trained in all departments to support where needed, and to provide inspirational training to all Employees.

The Assistant Manager can become a Senior Assistant Manager followed by Theatre Manager or General Manager after finishing the Management Accreditation Program and working for a minimum of six months.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School or G.E.D. graduate preferred.
• Completion of Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program courses.
• Completes basic food handling training and obtains any local or state mandated certification.
• Safety training for alcohol service if applicable.
• Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Regular and consistent attendance.
• Energetic and friendly attitude.
• Provides excellent Guest service.
• Accurate cash handling and basic math skills.
• Clear English communication (verbal and written).
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
• Ability to follow directions and take guidance.
• Sense of urgency in duties.
• Strong time management and attention to detail.
• Ability to train and lead others.
• Able to resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Follow the direction of the General Manager.
• Train and coach Team Members in their specific functions.
• Assist in preparing administrative and special reports for the General Manager.
• Inspect the theatre, parking lot, landscaping, and equipment condition; report repairs.
• Ensure dress code compliance by theatre staff.
• Interact with Guests to deliver superior customer service.
• Enforce Cinemark’s policies and conduct with fairness.
• Report Employee relations issues per protocol.
• Maintain high work ethic and conduct standards.
• Identify and address safety or security issues.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
