Job summary

Cinemark Assistant Managers assist in the overall operation of the theatre, ensuring policies and procedures are followed and standards are achieved. They are cross trained in all departments to support where needed, and to provide inspirational training to all Employees.

The Assistant Manager can become a Senior Assistant Manager followed by Theatre Manager or General Manager after finishing the Management Accreditation Program and working for a minimum of six months.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School or GED preferred.
• Complete Cinemark Management Accreditation Program courses.
• Food handling training and local certifications as required.
• Alcohol service training if applicable.
• Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Regular attendance and energetic attitude.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Accurate cash handling and basic math.
• Able to communicate in English and work with others.
• Train and lead team members; resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Follow the General Manager's direction and support decisions.
• Work across all theatre departments and functions.
• Train and coach team members in their roles.
• Prepare administrative and special reports for the General Manager.
• Inspect theatre facilities and report repairs as needed.
• Ensure dress code compliance and superior guest service.
• Enforce Cinemark guidelines with fairness and consistency.
• Report employee relations issues per protocol.
• Maintain high work ethic and conduct standards.
• Address safety and security issues and perform other duties.
