Job summary

Cinemark Assistant Managers assist in the overall operation of the theatre. They are cross trained in all departments to support where needed and to provide inspirational training to all Employees.

The role includes progression to Senior Assistant Manager and Theatre Manager after completing the Management Accreditation Program and six months of service, with emphasis on policy adherence, guest service, and leadership across all departments.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School or GED preferred.
• Completion of Cinemark Management Accreditation Program courses.
• Completes basic food handling training and local/state certifications as required.
• Management members who work with alcohol must complete Safe Alcohol Service training.
• Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to train and lead others.
• Excellent Guest service and cash handling.
• Must be able to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Follow the direction of the General Manager.
• Support GM decisions in staff communication.
• Work in all departments and all theatre functions.
• Train and coach Team Members in their specific job functions.
• Prepare administrative and special reports for the General Manager.
• Inspect theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, Cinemark property, roof and exterior signage and equipment.
• Report repairs needed to General Manager.
• Ensure staff follow dress code and provide superior customer service.
• Enforce Cinemark guidelines with staff and report employee relations issues.
• Follow Employee Relations Reporting Protocol.
• Maintain high work ethic and code of conduct for all management.
• Identify and sanitize high-contact areas.
• Use Personal Protective Equipment appropriately.
• Adapt to cleaning task frequency and scope.
• Address safety or security issues promptly.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
