Job summary

Classic Wire and Cable is hiring a Regional Sales Manager to drive sales growth across a defined territory and expand market presence for electrical products. This role requires building strong distributor relationships, managing key accounts, and leading a small team from a remote Texas-based home office.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in electrical distributor sales, wire and cable experience, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of meeting targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales to electrical distributors.
• Wire & cable experience required.
• Proven sales experience in the electrical or industrial distribution market.
• Strong leadership and relationship-building abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a home-office setting.
• Willingness and ability to travel 60%+.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain ethical, professional relationships with customers and sales reps.
• Drive growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities.
• Develop, implement, and manage sales programs and pricing strategies.
• Build relationships with distributor accounts and rep agencies.
• Manage price quotations and proposals within the region.
• Lead product training sessions for distributors, contractors, and reps.
• Collaborate with Inside Sales on pricing, inventory, and rollouts.
• Support trade shows and promotions with Marketing.
• Resolve customer discrepancies and returns with Credit.
• Provide market intelligence and pricing insights.
• Develop regional sales plans and forecasts.
• Submit weekly travel itineraries and activity reports.
• Conduct joint sales calls with rep agencies and key accounts.
• Manage 3–4 direct reports with leadership and coaching.
