Job summary

Mars is seeking a Veterinary District Sales Manager to cover the Salt Lake City area and surrounding clinics. You will drive veterinary sales, develop territory plans, and build relationships with clinic decision-makers while presenting data-driven insights.

This is a field-based role requiring travel and live within the territory. The ideal candidate has sales experience (2+ years, ideally B2B) and strong communication skills, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
• 2+ years sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral and written).
• Possession of a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Overnight travel required, occasional weekends for conferences; approximately 20-30%+ travel.

Responsibilities

• Translate knowledge of our products, categories, customer, and clinic data into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic operational needs; grow clinics within geography.
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers within territory.
• Develop and deliver data-driven presentations for Veterinary staff needs.
• Collaborate with Account teams, Digital Sales, Inside Accounts and Scientific Affairs to meet objectives.
• Build partnerships and work cross-functionally to meet shared goals.
• Execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy effectively.
• Work in a cross-functional, fluid environment and adjust strategies as needed.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with Line Manager and manage budgets and reports.
