Job summary

Mars Incorporated is seeking a Veterinary District Sales Manager in the Altamont Region, CA to execute the Vet BU strategy and achieve sales goals by targeting clinics and leveraging data. This field-based role requires living within the territory and occasional overnight travel.

The candidate should have 2+ years of sales experience (preferably B2B) with veterinary clinic exposure, excellent communication and presentation skills, and a valid driver's license with a clean record.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 2+ years sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral and written).
• Possession of a driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Overnight travel required, approx. 20-30% travel.

Responsibilities

• Translate knowledge of our products, categories, customer, and clinic data into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic operational needs and growing clinics in the territory.
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers within the geography.
• Deliver compelling, data-driven presentations to address veterinary staff needs.
• Collaborate with Account teams, Digital Sales, Inside Accounts and Scientific Affairs to meet objectives.
• Execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy cross-functionally.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews and adjust strategies based on changing needs to maximize territory performance.
• Manage expenses and sales budgets; complete CRM and expense reports in a timely and accurate manner.
